The Bands

  • TK and the Namrock

    Titiksava Karunika Das, aka TK, is the lead singer, songwriter and guitarist for the Namrock Band. Namrock plays rock music in the style of 60's and 70's rock and roll with uplifting lyrics and also employs the use of sacred mantras. Mantras are used to elevate the consciousness of the listener. Sacred sound vibration in a rock candy coated package.

  • Malini Taneja

    Malini is Bharatnatyam (Indian folk) and improvisational dancer with a passion to express the deep emotions of life and devotion towards the ever fresh Supreme Lord. She has toured with the Festival of Colors for the past four years all over North America, and has been known for bringing east and west styles of dance and music together and engaging thousands of audience members in dancing and singing without inhibitions.

  • Gaura Karuna

    Born and raised in a musical environment, Gaura Karuna grew up playing traditional indian instruments and playing Kirtan (a type of spiritual call and response music). As he grew older Gaura fell in love with hip-hop and the power of prolific songwriters such as Bob Dylan. This love of the poetic phrase led Gaura into the realm of songwriting and rapping which quickly turned into a passion for creating the perfect soundscape for his poems to dwell within.

  • Devananda Pandit

    Denis Moreau, aka Devananda pandit das, Brother Peaceful, is a Canadian born singer and songwriter who performs in various genres, such as country, folk, blues and gospel. His music, well known in the New Vrindaban community, which hosts the Festival of Colors, is a blend of introspective songs addressing the issue of spiritual warfare. Enjoy the soulful sounds of guitar and harmonica going deep into your heart.

  • Indradyumna Swami

    Indradyumna Swami is known for his traveling and adventures around the world, especially in Poland. Indradyumna Swami shares his experiences and realizations as a traveling monk in his journal The Diary of a Traveling Monk.

    A shining example of his large-scale travel is the Festival of India tour which he organizes every year in Poland. These festivals attract thousands of people who discover ancient Indian culture through music, dance, drama, spiritual discussion, and delicious vegetarian food.
